Hello,
So the MGM Grand show was awesome. It was nice to be in a big room with a receptive audience. The band did a great job of connecting with the larger than usual crowd despite the fact of only playing a 30 minute set. So we had a blast. I was able to visit w/ a friend of mine from Texas (it's amazing the distance people will travel to see a rock show). We drove that night into New Jersey.
Asbury Park was a good show. We played at a tiny little club called The Saint. The place was packed and the crowd was very enthusiastic. I had forgotten what it is like to tear up a club with 75 rabid fans...it can be quite intense! We departed that evening for D.C.
Washington D.C. was a good show as well. We played a venue that I have never been to before called the Rock-n-Roll Hotel. It was a good crowd as well. The staff at the club was fantastic. The dressing room was one of the weirdest I have ever been in. The was a "Red China" theme throughout the room. In fact, one wall was a huge mural of some Chinese leader (he must have been important) and the rest of the walls were covered in these propaganda posers.
I met up with an old friend of mine and we hung out and reminisced. There were some people in the audience who remembered me from No Address....that still feels good. The city was great, and I am looking forward to returning again soon.
